The Lion Rock, Sri Lanka

The Lion Rock

Lion Rock is an archaeological site in the form of a large volcanic rocks that form a cube in the district Metale, Sri Lanka. Lions Rock are also often referred to Sigiriya. Has a 1214 meters high. One side is the famous Lion Rock "Mirror Wall". The paintings on the walls depict a beautiful woman with flowers in their hair. Wall, measuring 460 meters and 131 meters. Lion Rock has a spiral staircase that leads to the terrace, and several layers of wrought iron and claws of a lion. Visitors can enter the fortress through the lion's mouth. Being a popular tourist destination in Sri Lanka and also declared by UNESCO as the eighth Wonder of the world.
